Volleyball Season

The season started on Saturday and the girls won their first match, they won both games so no need for a 3rd. Racheal and Alissa are on the same team and will play until the middle of February. We had a lot of fun cheering for them and I even got to ref for their match. I was not going to ref this season but they were short handed on Saturday so I filled in, and I am 100% sure that their win had nothing to do with me being their ref. But really, it was a fun morning and we are looking forward to next week already.

SNOW DAY!!!

Yesterday was our first snow day since moving here. The kids were out of school and played in 6 inches of snow! Now THAT is what we like!

Blog rolecall

So I was just wondering who reads this thing. If you read often enough I would love to hear from you, feel free to add a comment here or there. And do you have a blog? I would love to see what your family is doing these days.

Newest addition to our family

Miley has sure added a spark of fun around our house. She is so cute and such a good kitten. We actually had to take her to Montana with us to visit my parents because we didn't have anyone to watch her. She traveled so well and played nice with my Mom's little toy poodle. They were really cute together. Doesn't that sound funny...to take a kitten on a road trip, so we had 4 kids (because we took Haylee) and a kitten on a 9 hour trip.

Miley in all her glory, she thinks she is a princess and likes to sleep on our pillows. We are trying to rid her of this habit. It does not work so well at 2am when she wants to share your pillow.

The saddest news of the whole year!

So okay it is only the 8th of January, but still. WE LOST OUR CAMERA, so now I have to rely on Racheal's pictures for my blog. We last saw it when Colby and Sarah went ice fishing, at night, so maybe it was accidentally left on the ice.

Here is a little update about the final days of 2007 and what we have done so far in 2008.

Brady had to go home, so we sadly took him to the airport on Dec 31st. It was sooo good to have him here. He is so fun to be around and the kids just eat up all the attention he gives them.

Then we went to Montana to visit my parents, we decided to invite little Haylee along with us because we would just miss her too much if we didn't take her. My parents were glad to see her. And because Racheal took all these pictures they are mostly of Haylee. If you didn't know me very well you would think she is one of our own kids, she has just as many pictures on my blog as my own kids do.

All the kids went with Papa to visit Great Aunt Kathy's horses, here are Alissa and Haylee.

Papa and Colby also took the kids ice fishing on Saturday. They even caught some fish. Sarah and Haylee fishing in Montana, talking about the best type of lures to use for such blustery conditions. Haylee didn't realise they were not taking the boat on the lake until just before she left, so we had to explain that she could walk on the ice and the water is UNDER the ice. She thought I was crazy.

Hey look a fish, that lure must have worked!
