We have had more snow this year than any other year we have been here. Every night it snows a couple more inches. So now we probably have about 12 inches in the yard. The roads are staying covered as well. School had not been canceled lately, to the disappointment of 3 little girls. I even got the van stuck at the bottom of our driveway and had to have 4 neighborhood kids push me out of a snow drift. Thankfully they were there. Racheal and Sarah enjoy playing in the snow but Alissa wants nothing to do with it, she says it is not worth all the trouble of bundling up just to play in the cold snow for a couple minutes only to come back inside and have to clean up your snow clothes. Where have the days gone when they would spend hours outside?
Colby went ice fishing on a local lake and was interviewed and photographed by the local paper. I can see the headlines now...Local man's last words, thought the ice was thick enough. Needless to say I did not let him take any of the girls with him for their own safety. However he did make it back in one piece.
Only one more volley ball game left for the 2 older girls, they will miss the tournament next weekend because they are going up to a cabin to go sledding. They have had a good season and we can see so much improvement in Racheal.
Colby and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary 2 weeks ago, (has it really been that long?) we ran away to a local hotel and went out to dinner. The room was really nice and it was fun to get away from the house for a while it was very relaxing.
Not much else going on, just working and keeping up with the kids, and for me that is perfect.
